Choose this option if you want to prepare your own SD card.

You will need:

• A suitable SD card
• A computer with an SD card reader
• Software capable of extracting the downloaded archive
• The ability to copy the firmware files to the card without changing their folder structure

Prepared SD card

Choose this option if you prefer to receive physical media prepared with the firmware files.

The firmware still needs to be installed manually through the MMI Red Engineering Menu. A prepared SD card does not make the update automatic.

Installation

The update is installed through the MMI Red Engineering Menu.

Before starting:

• Connect the vehicle to a stable battery charger
• Read the complete installation instructions
• Confirm that the firmware branch matches
• Ensure that the MMI operates correctly
• Do not remove the SD card during installation
• Do not switch off the ignition or interrupt the update

Follow our MMI firmware update instructions during installation.

Vehicles equipped with BOSE audio require additional care when selecting update components. Follow the supplied instructions and do not change the component selection unless the procedure specifically tells you to do so.

Important compatibility warning

Do not purchase or install this firmware based only on the vehicle model, year or appearance of the MMI controls.

The full software train must match HN+US_AU3G. Installing firmware from a different region or system branch can cause installation errors or prevent the MMI from operating correctly.
