A Middle East Audi can use an EU or ER firmware train while its navigation system uses ROW maps. Select firmware by the complete software identifier shown in the vehicle, not only by its current country or map region.

  • No separate patch or additional activation script is required.
  • A lifetime navigation map licence is already included.
  • Compatible navigation map files must still be installed separately.
  • The vehicle requires two compatible factory USB ports.
  • The Bose amplifier update is already disabled in the prepared firmware.

How to select the correct firmware

  1. Open the MMI Version Information or Red Engineering Menu.
  2. Record the complete firmware train and MU version where displayed.
  3. Match the complete prefix: BNav, HNav, HN+R or MHI2_ER_AU57x.
  4. Check whether an intermediate firmware version is required.
  5. Read the installation instructions for the exact MMI generation.
  6. Maintain stable vehicle voltage throughout the update.

Firmware installation safety

Do not select firmware only because its final version number is higher. The complete software train must match the installed hardware.

For applicable MMI 3G updates, deselect the Bose component unless its update is specifically required. Bang & Olufsen can remain selected where supported. The prepared K3663_1 package already has the Bose update disabled.

Audi A6 Middle East firmware FAQ

Why does Middle East firmware contain EU or ER in its name?

The firmware family and navigation map region can be different. A Middle East Audi may use EU or ER firmware while its navigation database uses ROW maps. Always follow the identifiers shown in the vehicle.

Does firmware include Middle East maps?

No. These are firmware products. Navigation map files are separate unless they are explicitly included in a selected product option or bundle.

Does K3663_1 need a separate CarPlay patch?

No. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and the lifetime map licence are already integrated into the prepared K3663_1 firmware.

Are two USB ports required for K3663_1?

Yes. The vehicle must have a compatible factory two-port USB module for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to operate.

How can I confirm the correct firmware?

Provide a clear photo of the complete Version Information screen together with the Audi model and production year through the upgrade verification form.
