Check the original region and complete MMI version

A USA/Canada conversion requires different firmware and conversion files from a ROW or Middle East conversion. HNav and HN+R packages are also not interchangeable.

Confirm the complete installed firmware version, current navigation database and original vehicle region before ordering.

Conversion for compatible North American MMI 3G High systems beginning with HNav_US_. Includes European maps 6.36.0 and the required conversion tools.

Audi A8 MMI Region Conversion Options

A full region conversion is intended for an imported Audi A8 whose infotainment system cannot use the required European navigation database in its current configuration. It is different from installing ordinary European maps on a system that is already configured for Europe.

MMI 3G High HNav

This package converts a compatible ROW MMI 3G High system to European firmware and navigation data. It includes K0257_6_D1 firmware, European maps 6.36.0, activation tools and conversion instructions.

BOSE amplifier precaution

If the vehicle is equipped with BOSE, the amplifier update must be deselected according to the conversion instructions. Bang & Olufsen is safe and may remain selected.

MMI 2G High Hungarian Language Package

The Hungarian language product is intended for compatible older Audi A8 vehicles equipped with MMI 2G High firmware 5.5.70. It adds the Hungarian interface language but does not perform a complete navigation region conversion.

Conversion Instructions

Is a conversion the same as installing European maps?

No. An imported system may require compatible firmware, regional conversion files and navigation activation before it can use European maps.

Does the USA conversion install European firmware?

No. The HNav and HN+R USA conversion packages retain the appropriate North American firmware branch while enabling support for the European navigation database.

Is a separate ROW MAP FIX required?

No. A separate MAP FIX is not required for these complete region conversion packages.

Does the Hungarian language package convert the complete MMI region?

No. It adds the Hungarian interface language to a compatible MMI 2G High system running firmware 5.5.70.
