What the conversion changes
The conversion enables a compatible North American MMI 3G system to use the European 6.36.0 navigation database and routing data. It does not turn the unit into European hardware and does not replace the correct US firmware branch with EU firmware.
BOSE warning
If the vehicle has a BOSE sound system, deselect the BOSE component during the firmware update. Installing it unnecessarily can remove the amplifier parameterisation and cause loss of sound. Bang & Olufsen is safe.

Does this conversion install European firmware?
No. The system remains on its correct North American firmware branch: HNav_US for MMI 3G High or HN+R_US_AU for MMI 3G Plus. The conversion enables support for European navigation maps.
Which package should I choose for HNav_US?
Choose the MMI 3G High package using HNav_US_K0133_3_D1. It must not be installed on HN+ or HN+R systems.
Which package should I choose for HN+R_US_AU?
Choose the MMI 3G Plus package using HN+R_US_AU_K0942_3. It is not compatible with the separate HN+ software branch.
Is a separate MAP FIX required?
No. MAP FIX is not required for either of these complete North America-to-Europe conversion products.
Are prepared SD cards available?
Prepared SD cards are available for the HN+R conversion. The HNav conversion is supplied exclusively as a digital download.
