The two available bundles are intended for completely different MMI software families. They cannot be used interchangeably.

Check the complete firmware version before ordering. It must begin with HNav_EU_ or HN+R_EU_AU_.

BOSE amplifier precaution

If the Audi A8 is equipped with BOSE, the amplifier update must be deselected according to the firmware installation instructions. Bang & Olufsen is safe and does not require this exclusion.

Recommended Installation Order

  1. Confirm the complete installed MMI firmware version.
  2. Enable the Green Menu if it is currently unavailable.
  3. Install the matching firmware update.
  4. Verify that the firmware installation completed successfully.
  5. Install European navigation maps 6.36.0.
  6. Apply the supplied map activation.
  7. Restart the MMI and verify the firmware and map versions.

Do not combine firmware, navigation maps and activation files on one SD card. Prepare and install every stage separately according to the supplied instructions.

How do I know which bundle to select?

Check the complete software version. Select the HNav bundle only for HNav_EU_ systems and the HN+R bundle only for HN+R_EU_AU_ systems.

Are firmware, maps and activation included?

Yes. Both bundles contain the matching firmware, European maps 6.36.0, map activation, Green Menu activation and installation instructions.

Can I install HN+R firmware on an HNav system?

No. HNav and HN+R are different MMI platforms and their firmware packages are not interchangeable.

Do I need a bundle if the latest firmware is already installed?

If the correct final firmware is already installed and only the navigation database is outdated, choose the appropriate maps-only product instead.
