Is a Middle East map update the same as a conversion to Europe?

No. A map update retains the current region. A conversion changes a compatible system so it can use European firmware and navigation data.

Do ROW maps require a MAP FIX?

The applicable MMI 3G maps-only packages include the required ROW MAP FIX. It is installed after the supplied map licence. A separate MAP FIX is not required for a complete ROW-to-Europe conversion.

Does firmware include navigation maps?

No. Firmware and navigation maps are separate unless the selected product is explicitly described as a bundle.
