Multimedia upgrades for Audi A5 vehicles in North America
These physical interfaces add music streaming, AUX audio or smartphone integration while retaining the factory Audi infotainment system. Choose the product for the MMI generation installed in your vehicle, not simply by model year or navigation region.
Bluetooth and AUX for MMI 3G
Adds Bluetooth music streaming and an AUX input to compatible Audi A5 vehicles with MMI 3G Basic or MMI 3G High. The module connects to the vehicle’s MOST fibre-optic network and power supply, with audio sources selected through the original MMI.
MMI 3G supports one additional CD changer device. If a factory changer is installed, it may need to be disconnected for the module to work.
Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto
For compatible Audi A5 vehicles with MMI 3G Basic, MMI 3G High or MMI 3G Plus. The interface adds wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto while using the original MMI display and controls.
It also supports screen mirroring, USB media playback and compatible aftermarket front and rear cameras. Wireless Android Auto requires a compatible phone; a wired connection can be used where supported.
Bluetooth and AUX for MMI 2G
Adds Bluetooth A2DP music streaming and an analogue AUX input to compatible Audi A5 vehicles equipped with MMI 2G Basic or MMI 2G High. Music playback uses the factory MMI controls, and the original hands-free telephone system can remain in use.
The interface connects through the MOST fibre-optic network and a suitable power connection. It is not compatible with MMI 3G or newer systems.
