MHI2Q and MHI2 are different platforms

MHI2Q and MHI2 are separate MIB2 hardware and software families.

MHI2Q identifies a Qualcomm-based unit. MHI2 is used for other Harman hardware branches. Firmware packages cannot be selected only because both systems are described as Audi MIB2.

This P5092 package must only be used when the complete current version and the required update path have been verified.

Compatible Audi models

MHI2Q_ER_AUG22_ units were installed in selected European versions of:

Firmware installation and feature activation are separate procedures. Complete the firmware update successfully before beginning any additional activation procedure.

Firmware and navigation maps

Firmware and navigation maps are separate updates.

P5092 updates the operating software of the infotainment system. It does not replace the navigation database.

If you require current European maps, they can be purchased separately as the Audi MIB2 P470 Europe 2027 navigation map update.

New navigation maps may require an appropriate map licence. This firmware-only product does not include a lifetime lifetime map licence.

Preparing the SD card

If the download is supplied as a multipart archive, download all parts and store them in the same folder.

Begin extraction from the first archive part, usually ending in .7z.001. Do not copy compressed archive parts directly to the SD card.

After extraction:

1. Format a reliable SD card as instructed.
2. Open the extracted firmware folder.
3. Copy its contents directly to the root of the SD card.
4. Do not copy an additional parent folder.
5. Safely eject the card.

The correct firmware structure must be visible immediately after opening the SD card.

Before starting the update

Before installation:

• Confirm that the current version begins with MHI2Q_ER_AUG22_.
• Confirm that P5092 is suitable for the current update path.
