Audi MIB2 High 2027 Map Update P470: Maps Only or the Complete CarPlay Bundle?

The new Audi MIB2 High 2027 map update is now available for compatible MHI2 and MHI2Q navigation systems. The European database is identified as V03.959.821.470 P470_N60S5MIBH3_EU and replaces the previous P430 and P450 map releases.

Before downloading the files or ordering an SD card, check two details:

1. Which MMI system is installed in your Audi?
2. Does the unit already have a valid map license or patch?

If your MIB2 High system is already activated, you may only need the P470 map files. Owners of compatible Audi A6 and A7 models can instead choose a complete package with K3663 firmware, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a lifetime map license and European Speed Camera POI.

Start by identifying your Audi MMI system

Audi used several infotainment platforms during the same production years. Two cars with the same model and registration year may require completely different firmware and map files.

Do not choose an update based only on the vehicle model.

Open the MMI software information screen or Red Engineering Menu and locate the full Software Train. For the standalone P470 map update, the firmware should begin with:

• MHI2_
• or MHI2Q_

• MHI2Q_US_AUG22_

The P470 package discussed here contains European navigation data. A unit operating in another region may require a region conversion and compatible firmware before European maps can be used.

If your version begins with MHS2, MST2, MH2P, MHI3, HN+, HNav or BNav, this is not the correct update.

What is the P470 Europe 2027 navigation database?

The current map package is:

The database provides refreshed road information, updated junctions, newer routes and revised points of interest across Europe. The number of changes depends on the available data for each country.

This is an offline navigation database for the factory Audi MMI. It does not replace live traffic services or smartphone navigation applications.

Option 1: Europe 2027 P470 maps only

Choose the standalone map update if the MMI already has a valid license or has previously been patched.

The product includes the complete European P470 navigation database and is available as:

The standalone map product is usually the right choice when:

• Your firmware begins with MHI2 or MHI2Q.
• The MMI already accepts offline map updates.
• A lifetime map license is active.

Map activation is not included

An SD card transfers the navigation files to the MMI but does not provide a license.

Your system must have one of the following:

• A valid FEC license for the installed map release
• A lifetime offline map license
• A compatible MIB2 patch

If none of these is present, the system may detect the SD card but refuse to activate or use the new database.

Compatible Audi models and firmware

The bundle is designed for compatible European versions of:

• Audi A6, S6 and RS6 C7.5
• Audi A7, S7 and RS7 4G facelift

What does the complete bundle add?

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

The package activates wired Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto through the original Audi MMI interface.

• Siri and Google Assistant

The activation does not install missing hardware. Your vehicle must have a compatible data-capable USB port. A charging-only port or older AMI connection may require a hardware upgrade.

K3663 firmware

The bundle updates compatible systems to MHI2_ER_AU57x_K3663_1.

Depending on the currently installed version, this may improve system responsiveness, Bluetooth operation, navigation stability and compatibility with smartphone interface functions.

The package also includes GraceNote2 V17 and a rear control head fix for affected older firmware versions.

For BOSE-equipped vehicles, the BOSE firmware component is disabled during the prepared update process to reduce the risk of overwriting sound-system parameters.

Lifetime offline map license

Once activated, the lifetime license allows the MMI to accept compatible future offline map databases without purchasing another activation code for each release.

It does not include automatic delivery of future map files. New databases must still be obtained and installed separately.

European Speed Camera POI

The included POI database may contain:

• Fixed speed cameras
• Red-light cameras
• Average-speed control zones
• Other traffic enforcement locations

Coverage and warning functions depend on the country, available data and MMI configuration. Regulations governing speed camera warnings vary, so the driver should check local laws before using this feature.

Correct installation order for the complete bundle

The components must be installed in the correct sequence:

1. Update the firmware to MHI2_ER_AU57x_K3663_1.
2. Enable the Green Engineering Menu.
3. Install the MIB2 patch and activate the required licenses.
4. Install the Europe 2027 P470 maps.
5. Install the Speed Camera POI database.

Do not begin with the navigation maps if the unit has not been patched and does not have a valid map license.

During every update stage:

• Keep the vehicle supplied with stable voltage.
• Do not remove the SD card.
• Do not restart the MMI.
• Do not switch off the ignition.
• Do not select additional firmware components unless instructed.

Digital download or prepared SD card?

Digital download

Choose the digital option if you have:

• A stable internet connection
• A Windows, macOS or Linux computer
• 7-Zip or compatible extraction software
• An SD card reader
• A reliable SD card with sufficient capacity

A 32 GB SD card is recommended for the P470 map database. A nominal 16 GB card does not provide enough usable space.

The complete bundle contains separate firmware, activation, map and POI stages. Prepare the card for each stage according to the supplied instructions.

Prepared SD card delivery

Choose prepared SD media if you do not want to download, extract and copy the files yourself.

The update still needs to be started manually in the MMI. A prepared map card also does not replace a missing navigation license unless you purchase the complete bundle containing the required activation.

Common compatibility mistakes

Selecting the update by model year

The same Audi model and production year may have MIB2 High, MIB2 Standard, MHS2 or another navigation platform. Always check the full firmware train.

Confusing MHI2 with MHS2

The names look similar, but these are different systems. P470 maps for MIB2 High do not work with MHS2.

Assuming that an SD card includes activation

An SD card is only the installation medium. Map activation is stored in the MMI unit.

Installing firmware from another region

European and North American firmware packages are not interchangeable without an appropriate conversion procedure.

Starting with the maps when the license has expired

If MapCare has expired and no lifetime license is active, install the compatible patch before starting the navigation update.
