Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Installing MHIG_EU_AU_K1549 does not add Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

MIB1 High is different from the later MIB2 High platform. Activation products intended for MHI2 or MHI2Q units must not be used on an MHIG system.

Digital Download Option

When the download option is selected, you will receive access to the firmware files after payment has been confirmed.

To prepare the update:

1. Download the complete archive to your computer.
2. Extract it using 7-Zip or another compatible application.
3. Prepare a suitable SD card according to the supplied instructions.
4. Copy the extracted contents while preserving the original file and folder structure.
5. Safely eject the SD card before inserting it into the vehicle.

Do not copy the compressed archive directly to the SD card. Do not rename, remove or modify files from the firmware package.

If the archive cannot be extracted or appears corrupted, download it again. Incomplete downloads are the most common cause of extraction errors.

Preloaded SD Card Option

When the SD card delivery option is selected, the firmware will be supplied on a prepared SD card and shipped to the address entered during checkout.

The physical SD card option removes the need to download and extract the firmware yourself. You must still verify compatibility and follow the installation instructions before starting the update.

The update is installed from the SD card through the infotainment system’s update menu.

Before starting:

• Confirm the complete current firmware version.

Important Information for Bose Systems

Incorrectly updating the Bose component may cause the sound system to stop working correctly.
